We are a family run seed stock company in Southeastern Nebraska, striving to produce maternally and reproductively superior Red Angus cattle.

In 1997, after working with several other breeds we purchased our first Red Angus, from the Shoestring Red Angus dispersal in North Platte and brought them back to Southern Wisconsin (were we were then located).

After weaning those first calves in 1998, we became 100% sold on the value of these red cattle. In the fall of 1999 we purchased 14 females from Sodak Angus Ranch of Reva, South Dakota. Within this group of line-bred Oscar cows was one female (Sodak Emm 5122) that would change the course of our destiny. Another important event was the purchase of the bull calf SNR Heavens Door 2095. He came the 2002 Shamrock Nook Sale, and is owned by us in partnership with Gill Red Angus of Timber Lake, South Dakota and SMBA Stock Farms of Hayward, Wisconsin. The mating of him to the afore mentioned Sodak 5122 resulted in our most important sire; BBGEN Heavens Gate 4P81. 4P81 is the most proponent breeding piece we have ever been around and is the cornerstone of every thing we are doing today.

In 2008 after several years of consideration, we made the decision to pack up and move west. We ran our cattle operation almost entirely on leased land, with much of our pasture on tillable ground. Rising grain prices and land use demands from the urban population lead us to the conclusion that, our operation as designed then was not sustainable. So the opportunity presented itself to buy our current place east of Alexandria, Nebraska, and we jumped at that.

Today all settled in our digs, with only the top 25% of our former cowherd, we are rebuilding the program. We are primarily using the genetics of our "do nothing wrong" sire 4P81, to create a strain of Red Angus cattle that can be useful to the commercial cowman, while providing the services needed for that cowman to be successful.
